Job description:
-Logistics specialists are responsible for the movement of goods and materials from one location to another. They commonly work with a variety of different types of cargo, including everything from raw materials to finished products.

-Logistics specialists may also be tasked with ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed before any cargo can be moved. This might include things like customs declarations or other documentation required by law.

Logistics Specialist Job Duties

Logistics specialists have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Communicate with suppliers and customers to ensure the accuracy of the information in shipping records
• Coordinating with other members of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Maintaining records of shipments in order to identify patterns in shipping errors or delays
• Ensuring that products are delivered on time by coordinating with carriers such as trucking companies.
• Performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phones
• Coordinating the use of warehouses or other storage facilities to ensure efficient use of space
• Supervising the loading and unloading of cargo onto trucks or trains to ensure that the items are transported safely
• Preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents such as customs declarations and insurance policies
• Coordinating shipments with customs officials to ensure compliance with international shipping laws
